If your Neff oven is looking a little worse for wear after Christmas (trust me, mine was a disaster), don’t stress - cleaning it has never been easier! Neff’s range of pyrolytic ovens takes all the hassle out of cleaning. No harsh chemicals and no scrubbing until your arms ache.
With just the press of a button, the oven heats up and turns all that baked-on food residue into ash. A quick wipe and there you go! Your oven looks brand new again.
I have the Neff N50 Slide & Hide Pyrolytic Oven (B6ACH7HH0B), and let me tell you, it’s a game-changer. It preheats super quickly and cooks evenly, which was a lifesaver when I hosted Christmas dinner for eight people this year! Between the turkey, ham, roasties, yorkshire puddings, sausage rolls, and desserts, my oven really earned its keep.
But after all that, it was overdue for a deep clean. That’s where the pyrolytic function came in handy.
Step by Step Guide to Neff Pyrolytic Cleaning
- Remove all accessories from your oven, including the oven racks, trays and rails, the water tank if you have a steam oven.
- Give the interior a very quick wipe to leave behind only the worst of the food residue.
- Turn on your oven and then flick through the options to find Pyrolytic Self-Cleaning cleaning.
- From here your oven will do all the hard work. It cranks the heat up to 485 degrees Celsius. This might seem excessive, but the high temperatures removes the need for any chemicals, which is safer for you and your food.
- The oven door will be locked shut throughout the cleaning process until it has cooled sufficiently to be wiped down. You will see a lock symbol to indicate that it can’t be opened.
- Wipe out any ash and return your racks and rails.
That’s it! No need to worry about cleaning it again for another 6 to 12 months.
